What do I do with yard waste?

Residents have a few disposal options for yard waste materials: 1. Put this material in your Green Organics Bin. Ensure there are no branches in the bin that prevent the lid from closing completely. 2. Put yard waste in brown paper bags (not plastic or compostable bags!) and place them at the curb during the schedule Extra Yard Waste Collection Weeks. In 2017, the Spring yard waste collection week is the week of May 29-June 2.  Extra Fall Yard Waste collection for "B" Week is the day of your collection, October 31 - November 3.  "A" Week is the day of your collection, November 7 - 10. Brown paper bags should be placed at the curb along with your regular waste on your scheduled collection day by 7 a.m. for pick-up. Outside of these weeks, no additional yard waste will be collected unless it is placed in your green cart. Items placed in clear plastic bags will not be collected. Approved brown paper bags can be found at most retailers in Beaumont. 3. Bring it to Beaumont's Operations Facility Yard Waste Bin. A seasonal bin will be available from Monday-Friday each spring, summer and fall. Hours are from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (closed on holidays). Yard waste in plastic bags must be debagged before placing inside the bin. Large branches are not accepted and must be brought directly to the Leduc and District Regional Waste Management Facility.
