As part of our commitment to the Our Places and Play: Beaumont’s Recreation, Parks and Facilities Master Plan we are building two new outdoor rinks and improving the current Bellevue outdoor rink. The new rinks will be located beside École Dansereau Meadows and the Ken Nichol Rec Centre.
The work will start this summer and is scheduled to be completed this fall. The city has identified different concepts for each rink here are the options for each rink:
In 2019 the City of Beaumont removed the basketball court which was located on top of the water reservoir for safety reasons. In 2020 will be replacing the basketball court with a new multi use asphalt surface court just south of last year’s construction. This new site will be created for our residents to be able to play both basketball and ball hockey. It will also be fenced off similar to the previous location.
Northeast corner of 57 Street & 48 Avenue. Just south of the original basketball court.
A new Culvert bridge will be installed by the concession on Four Seasons Park similar to the one installed in 2018 by the Lions RV Park. The new bridge will be safer for residents, and will allow City snow removal and grass cutting equipment to cross the bridge without damaging the bridge.
