Project Background

The City of Beaumont is advancing the concept design to beautify Centre-Ville Park, with construction set to begin in Fall 2023. Creating a vibrant space for locals and visitors to gather year-round and support business in the heart of Beaumont, this park design also aligns with the Centre-Ville Area Redevelopment Plan.

The concept design provides enhancements like:

  • A design theme similar to the 50th Street streetscape.
  • Grassed area for events and other community programming.
  • Added trees, shrubs and various greenery.
  • Plaza with decorative paving and seating (includes seating alcoves for accessible use).
  • Gravel pathways.

The concept design also retains features from the current park such as:

  • Access and location for food truck parking in the north paved portion for festivals and other events.
  • Access and location for the Karma Pantry and Library Box.
  • Existing trees along the west boundary of the park adjoining the parking lot.
  • Some parking spaces along the south boundary, including 2 accessible parking spots.
