[ARCHIVED] Beaumont RCMP Secure it or Lose It Event

Beaumont, Alta -  The Beaumont RCMP has partnered with the Beaumont Citizens on Patrol to host a Secure it or Loose It license plate event.

The event takes place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019, in the northwest corner of the Jeb’s No Frills parking lot. Members from the Beaumont RCMP detachment along with Volunteers from the Beaumont Citizens on Patrol will be on hand to install a security screw to license plates at no cost to the vehicle's owner. These security screws help prevent thefts of license plates as you need a special bit to install or remove them from the vehicle. Residents of Beaumont can bring their vehicles to this event anytime during the event as no appointment times are required.

“This initiative is a proactive partnership between the Beaumont Citizens on Patrol, Jeb’s No Frills and the Beaumont RCMP to help prevent future crimes from occurring within the City of Beaumont” says organizer Cst. Brody Blumhagen.
