Residents are invited to participate in the Regional Canada Day Virtual Celebration on July 1, 2020, presented exclusively through Facebook. Celebrations this year came together through the collaborative efforts of City of Beaumont, Town of Devon, City of Fort Saskatchewan, City of Leduc, City of Spruce Grove, City of St. Albert, Town of Stony Plain and Strathcona County. Join the event, Regional Canada Day Virtual Celebration, to find out all the details for the day!
Festivities include a free one-time viewing online concert series from 6 to 8 p.m., with performances from George Canyon, Dan Davidson, Nuela Charles, River Poets and Kym Simon.
Additional celebrations include a digital brochure filled with fun Canadian themed activities to fill your day. The brochure contains a variety of Canada Day workshops, activities, crafts, colouring pages, a fitness class, recipes and more. Residents can download the brochure and plan their Canada Day starting today!
"Canada Day will look a little different this year, but even a pandemic can’t stop us from celebrating this country we call home," says Mayor John Stewart. "Combining our resources is allowing us to deliver an exciting lineup of entertainment and activities.
