[ARCHIVED] Beaumont RCMP Issue Arrest Warrant - Bienvenido Bongato

Beaumont, Alberta – Following a traffic stop on February 28 at 5:00 p.m., 28-year-old Bienvenido Bongato, of Edmonton, is wanted on an arrest warrant after he fled from the Beaumont RCMP.


Bongato was driving a red 2014 Ford Mustang convertible with a black roof cover, bearing Alberta license plate BWH 6738 when the RCMP initiated a traffic stop as a result of a driving complaint.  The vehicle was found to be unregistered and uninsured and a tow truck was called.  When the tow truck arrived on scene, Bongato took off from the traffic stop and nearly struck a police officer.


He was last seen to be speeding through a residential area before taking a curb to evade another police vehicle.  He fled traveling east on 30 Avenue from 64 Street, in Beaumont.


As a result of this incident, Bongato is facing an arrest warrant charging him criminally with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, and obstruction, as well as three warrants for charges laid under the Traffic Safety Act.


Bienvenido Bongato is described as:  


-         5’10” tall

-         165 lbs

-         Brown hair / brown eyes
