For the week of April 5, 2021 through April 11, 2021 the Beaumont RCMP responded to 54 calls for service. Some of the calls for service include Mental Health Act, Criminal Harassment, Suspicious persons/vehicles, Assault, Beak and Enter, Fail to remain at a collision, causing a disturbance and mischief. Several COVID-19 compliance complaints were received from the public. Upon investigation no infractions were found.
On April 9, 2021, Beaumont RCMP responded to a theft of wood from a new construction site. Members located the two suspects in their truck and placed them under arrest. Kyle LOCK of St. Paul, Alberta has been charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtain by crime, possession break in instruments, fail to comply with undertaking and trespass at night. Joshua ARSENAULT of Edmonton, Alberta has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime and theft under $5,000.
In the same period, the Beaumont RCMP conducted 17 traffic stops, resulting in a driver being charged under the traffic Safety Act for no insurance and no registration. Both the truck and the trailer were towed.
The Beaumont RCMP Community Advisory Committee held a teleconference and discussion was had regarding the recent Community Policing Priorities survey results. Policing Priorities for the upcoming 2021-2022 year discussed with the committee.
