[ARCHIVED] Week in review Beaumont RCMP

For the week of April 12, 2021 through April 18, 2021 the Beaumont RCMP responded to 48 calls for service. Some of the calls for service include impaired operation of a motor vehicle, mental health act, fraud, suspicious persons/vehicles, Assault, beak and enter, fail to remain at a collision, causing a disturbance, uttering threats, theft under $5,000 and mischief.

The Beaumont RCMP conducted 26 traffic stops, resulting in two people being charged for driving while suspended under the Traffic Safety Act.

The Beaumont RCMP detachment is now offering a secure licence plate screw to help deter theft of licence plates. Residents can attend the detachment to use the tool to install the secure screw to their vehicle. The Beaumont RCMP would like to thank the Leduc Rural Crime Watch Association for donating the secure screws to make this program possible.

This week is volunteer appreciation week in Alberta and the Beaumont RCMP would like to thank all of our volunteers that assist us in making Beaumont a great place to live. Leduc and District Victim Services have created a video thanking their volunteer advocates for the work they do with victims of crime and trauma.

The video can be viewed at https://www.instagram.com/tv/CN3kRGAgrep/?igshid=1ryy13iyih351 or https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=2775104646039792

Did you know the Beaumont RCMP uses a Crime Map tool? The Crime Map enables residents to access current and verified information regarding criminal incidents in their neighbourhoods. Crime types presented on the map include: theft from motor vehicle, theft of motor vehicle, break and enter, theft over/under $5,000, mischief and missing persons reports from within the last 14 days. Beaumont residents can access the map through the City of Beaumont’s website at https://www.beaumont.ab.ca/532/Beaumont-RCMP-Crime-Map

The Beaumont RCMP encourages the public to report all criminal and suspicious activity. In case of an emergency, call 911, for non-urgent reports call the Beaumont RCMP Detachment complaint line 780-929-7400. Your report helps us know where to look, who to look for and where to patrol in the future.
