The City of Beaumont aims to be an accessible, affordable and desirable place to live for people with a wide range of ages, family sizes, occupations and income levels. However, seniors on fixed incomes, adults affected by industry layoffs, single-parent families, and young adults starting out on their own are all in need of affordable housing options in Beaumont.
Having a range of housing types in our city will mean more opportunities for Beaumont residents of all ages and can lead to better health, financial security and stability for households – which contributes to a stronger local economy.
We’re developing an Affordable Housing Strategy to ensure Beaumont grows as a vibrant, inclusive community of choice. Housing that is affordable can support a strong local business community by attracting potential workers and increasing resident purchasing power. It can also support neighbourhood vitality by improving resident health and well-being, reducing commute times, and increasing community involvement.
From June 21 to July 9, please take a moment to share your feedback on the draft strategy to help make sure it meets our community’s needs and supports our great quality of life.
