For the week of September 27 through October 3, 2021, the Beaumont RCMP responded to 61 calls for service. Some of the calls for service include Assault, 911 calls, Child welfare, Disturbing the peace, Mischief Damage/Obstruct, Fraud, Harassing communication, Suspicious person, Liquor Act, Mental Health Act, uttering threats, Voyeurism, Theft of bicycle, Theft under $5,000, Traffic collision, Moving traffic and Other non-moving traffic. The Beaumont RCMP conducted 18 traffic stops, resulting in 1 charges and 11 warnings under the Traffic Safety Act.
Beaumont General Investigation Section obtained intelligence to obtain a search warrant for a residence in Beaumont. The search warrant was executed and seized approximately 2,900 pills and 1.5 litres of codeine cough syrup. As a result of the investigation, Beaumont RCMP charged a 17-year-old Beaumont youth with several charges under the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.
A Beaumont citizen displaying great values turned in $900 that was found at their workplace. Beaumont RCMP was able to locate the rightful owner and return the money to them. The good Samaritan was given a gift bag on behalf of the RCMP for displaying RCMP values of honesty and integrity.
