TOWN OF BEAUMONT
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LAND USE BYLAW AMENDMENTS – SPECIAL EVENTS SIGNS
BYLAW NUMBER 888-17

A Public Hearing, Second Reading, and Third Reading are proposed to be presented to Council on June 13, 2017, for Bylaw 888-17 to amend Land Use Bylaw 796-12 regarding Special Events Signs. 

The Land Use Bylaw controls the use and development of land and buildings in the Town. Special Events Signs are intended to be informational or directional in nature; information about an event or providing direction to special event sites. Special event signage is for use by the Municipality, Community Volunteer Organizations, and charitable organizations. Current Planning is proposing to amend the Special Events Signs Section, as seen in Bylaw 888-17.

For more information about the proposed Bylaw contact Legislative Services between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Town of Beaumont Administration Office. The Public Hearing will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Town of Beaumont Administration Office located at 5600 - 49 Street, Beaumont AB.

Procedure at the Public Hearing:

1.Presentation of the purpose and effect of the proposed Bylaw amendment.
2.Council will hear:

a)any person or group of persons acting on his or their behalf who claim to be affected by the proposed Bylaw;
b)any other person who wishes to make a presentation and whom the Council agrees to hear.

All written submissions received by Legislative Services of the Town of Beaumont on or before noon June 13, 2017 will be recognized prior to any oral submissions.
