The Council of the City of Beaumont is holding a Public Hearing for Bylaw 1006-21 to amend Bylaw 944-19 Our Zoning Blueprint: Land Use Bylaw. The Public Hearing is to be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. and may be viewed at www.youtube.com/c/BeaumontAbCaT4X.
The Land Use Bylaw controls the use and development of land and buildings in Beaumont. The proposed bylaw would amend the Land Use Bylaw by redistricting a portion of NW-34-50-24-4 in the Dansereau Meadows neighbourhood from Conventional Neighbourhood (CN) District to Integrated Neighbourhood (IN) District. The proposed redistricting is intended to permit future urban development in accordance with the Dansereau Meadows Outline Plan by accommodating narrow-lot townhomes that are consistent with those already approved along Dansereau Way.
Any person who wishes to present to Council during the public hearing must pre-register with the City Clerk’s Office, city.clerk@beaumont.ab.ca or 780-929-1352, before 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Written submissions may be provided to the City Clerk’s Office at 5600 49 Street, Beaumont AB T4X 1A1 or via email, clearly labelled “Re: Dansereau Meadows Redistricting Public Hearing.” Submissions received by 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 will be included in the agenda package. Submissions received after this date will be read into the public record prior to any oral presentations.
The personal information in submissions is collected under the authority of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, S. 33(c) for the purpose of public participation in decision making. It will be publicly available in accordance with S. 40(1) of the Act. The proposed bylaw will be available in the agenda package of the January 25, 2022 Council Meeting at https://beaumontab.civicweb.net/portal/.
