To protect our residents and Council from COVID-19, all Council and Committee of the Whole Meetings will be held electronically from January 25, 2022, until March 1, 2022.
To assist the public, the following procedures have been implemented:
Accessing Agendas
All Council Meeting agendas and minutes continue to be accessible to the public through the city’s website at https://beaumontab.civicweb.net/Portal/MeetingTypeList.aspx.
Accessing the Meeting While it is Occurring
You can tune into the meeting while it is occurring or after it has taken place by visiting the City of Beaumont’s YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/c/BeaumontAbCaT4X (or by going to YouTube.com and simply searching ‘Beaumont, AB’).
Public Commentary
Council provides City of Beaumont residents with the opportunity to provide input on city-related matters during the open forum held at regular Council meetings. Due to COVID-19, open forum registrants must participate virtually.
If you are unable to participate virtually, commentary must be submitted in writing to be read into the record by the clerk during the virtual Council meeting. Contact City.Clerk@beaumont.ab.ca by noon on the day of the meeting to register your participation.
Registered Presentations to Council
Any person or group wishing to make a public presentation to Council are asked to contact City.Clerk@beaumont.ab.ca to schedule a date and time.
Public Hearings
Public Hearings will continue to be advertised during COVID-19, and the advertisement will include the process for emailing submissions before or during the hearing.
Any questions related to the above can be directed to the Manager, Legislative Services at 780-929-8782, or by email at legislative@beaumont.ab.ca.
