TOWN OF BEAUMONT
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEAU VAL PHASE 5
BYLAW NO. 893-17

The Council of the Town of Beaumont has given first reading to Bylaw No. 893-17 that if passed would allow development to proceed on Phase 5 in the Beau Val neighbourhood. Beau Val Phase 5 is being developed by 1871368 Alberta Ltd. and is located east of 50 Street, adjacent to the proposed extension of 30 Avenue in the Beau Val neighbourhood.

The Land Use Bylaw currently designates the area for Phase 5 as AR–Agriculture Reserve, which is a Redistricting Mapholding district until such time as development is proposed. To accommodate Phase 5 a number of new districts are proposed as shown on the attached redistricting map to allow for the continuation of residential development south of the existing dwellings in Beau Val and commercial development south of the future continuation of 30 Avenue.  Bylaw 893-17 can be viewed here


For more information about the proposed Bylaw contact the Manager, Legislative Services between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Town of Beaumont Administration Office. The Public Hearing will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Town of Beaumont Administration Office located at 5600 - 49 Street, Beaumont AB.


Procedure at the Public Hearing:

1.Presentation of the purpose and effect of the proposed Bylaw amendment.

2.Council will hear:

a)any person or group of persons acting on his or their behalf who claim to be affected by the proposed Bylaw;

b)any other person who wishes to make a presentation and whom the Council agrees to hear.


All written submissions received by the Manager, Legislative Services of the Town of Beaumont on or before noon August 22, 2017 will be recognized prior to any oral submissions.
