Fibre optic cable maintenance is planned for the week of April 24 which will result in a single lane closure and possible traffic disruptions on 50th Avenue, west of 50th Street. A contractor for Telus will be performing the work, which should last no more than two days. This may be extended based on conditions including the weather. One lane will remain open with traffic will being directed by a flag-person. Work hours will comply with the City’s noise restrictions in the Community Standards Bylaw. The contractor will place signage near the site in advance of the work taking place to help inform commuters of the lane closure.
