Water Ban on Non-Essential Water Use is Lifted

UPDATE: Water Ban on Non-Essential Water Use is Lifted - February 2, 2024

Effective February 2, 2024, the mandatory ban on non-essential water use in Edmonton and the Capital Region has been lifted. Beaumont residents can resume normal water use.

Together, everyone in Edmonton and the capital region saved over 100 million litres of water. Residents, businesses, and partners worked together to make sure essential water services stayed on. We're happy to report that there were no problems with fire protection or drinking water during this time. We acknowledge the impact this had on our community and express our appreciation to affected businesses for their understanding and resilience.

As we move forward, we thank you for your continued support and commitment to water conservation. For more information on water conservation, click HERE.
