1. Who is conducting the 2017 Citizen Satisfaction Survey?

Banister Research is working with Beaumont’s Communication Services to conduct the survey. Banister Research has done this survey in Beaumont bi-annually since 2011.

2. When will Banister Research be calling residents?

The survey gets underway May 12 and will run for approximately two weeks, until Banister Research has completed the required number of surveys.

3. How long does the survey take?

The survey takes approximately 20 to 30 minute to complete. This may seem like a long time; however, the information gathered is invaluable to Beaumont. If Banister Research calls you, your participation is greatly appreciated.

4. Why is this being done?

The Citizen Satisfaction Survey provides insight into the perceptions and opinions of residents regarding services provided by Beaumont, as well as data for a number of Strategic Plan performance measures.

5. What if I am not called? Can I still participate in the survey?

In order for the survey to be statistically valid, Banister Research must reach out to citizens independently, so unfortunately you must be randomly selected by Banister to participate.

6. Will Banister Research call cell phones?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to connect a cell phone number to a geographic location, so Banister Research will only phone landlines in Beaumont.

7. What happens to the data that is collected?

The information will be used to help us improve services to Beaumont residents. Banister Research will analyze the data and provide a report that will be presented at a future Council meeting. The report will also be posted online on this page.

The results will provide measures for several key performance indicators in our Strategic Plan and will be published in the Report to the Community.

8. Are there any incentives for me?

Yes. You can choose to have your name entered into a draw for an annual pass to the Aqua-Fit Centre, a value of up to $537 (depending on the age of the winner). You can also choose to be added to a list of residents that we may contact for future surveys and focus-group testing. You need to complete the survey in order to be eligible for the Aqua-Fit draw.
