Government 2025 Municipal Election
The next municipal election will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025.
More details including the candidate nomination guide are expected to be released before nomination day. Nominations open on January 1, 2025. Please note City Hall is closed this day. Candidates can begin filing their nomination papers on Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Individuals intending to run for Mayor or Council must submit their intent to the Election Office before accepting campaign contributions or incurring campaign expenses as set out in Part 5.1 Election Finances and Contributions Disclosure of the Local Authorities Election Act.
