Extended transit hours in effect

As of April 2, Beaumont Transit (Beaumont 540) will operate with extended hours on weekdays and a new weekend service, enhancing flexibility and convenience for residents and visitors. The extended transit service includes:

  • Monday to Friday services with trips departing Beaumont throughout the day between 6 am and 7 pm.
  • Weekend service with trips departing Beaumont between 9 am and 4 pm.
  • Service between Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre in Beaumont to the Mill Woods Transit Centre in Edmonton (connecting Beaumont Transit riders with the Valley Line LRT).
  • Reduced fares and convenient fare payment options, including Arc cards

Transit stops

Beaumont Transit services the community through three primary stop locations. All routes from Beaumont start at the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre (KNRRC).

Transit fares

Cash fares are accepted on buses in the fare box. Passes and tickets are available for purchase at Beaumont’s Administration Office and the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre.

  • Please be advised that ETS transfers cannot be used for travel on Beaumont buses. To ensure smooth operations and timely service, we kindly request passengers to adhere to this policy.

Arc (Smart fare)

Arc is available for Standard Adult Fare riders, with more transit groups being added in 2023. 

U-Pass

Beaumont Transit accepts U-Pass fares. Students can use an Arc card (supplied by your post-secondary institution) to tap on/off buses. Visit the City of Edmonton’s U-Pass program page for complete details.

Residents of Beaumont (and surrounding regions) use the Transit App for:

Transit outages and delays

Transit services are typically on time within a 5-minute window. However, while we strive to provide you with a consistently prompt and dependable service, there may be instances where unforeseen circumstances lead to unexpected outages or delays.

* Beaumont Transit requires up to two hours to respond to unplanned delays.

Tips for riding transit

  • Bikes are not allowed on the bus because it travels on a highway, but strollers are welcome.
  • Buses are wheelchair accessible.
  • If you’re travelling beyond Heritage Valley, you must also pay the ETS fare.
  • You can “park and ride” at the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre (KNRRC).

Beaumont Transit does not operate on statutory holidays. The statutory holidays and days in lieu for the year 2024 are as follows:
