Waste Facilities

Leduc and District Waste Management Facility

The Leduc and District Waste Management Facility is located at 49444 Range Road 244, Leduc County.

  • All household waste (organics, recyclables and waste)
  • Household hazardous waste
  • E-Waste
  • Reusable items (Take-It-Or-Leave-It Area)

Since Beaumont is a member of the Leduc and District Regional Waste Management Authority, residents are able to dispose of extra waste at the facility free of charge. Residents are permitted to dispose of an extra 1 tonne (1000 kgs) of household waste per year at the facility. Residents who exceed this limit will be required to pay the fees set out by the Landfill Authority.

Beaumont residents require a Resident Card before receiving this service. Cardholders can access their cards by the following methods:

Residents who cannot produce a Resident Identification Card upon entering the landfill will be subject to the standard facility usage fees.

By implementing the Resident Identification Card system, the member municipalities of the Leduc and District Waste Management Facility anticipate a reduction of abuse by non-residents of the member municipalities and hope to allow their residents continued use of the landfill for household waste without implementing facility usage fees. Your cooperation in the Resident Identification Card system is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the facility directly at 780-612-8500.

The Leduc and District Regional Waste Management facility has opened its new public drop-off area at the regional landfill to provide safer vehicle access and reduced wait times for residents.

Hours of operation

The public drop-off area is open Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 5 pm. From May 1 to September 15, they are open until 9 pm on Wednesdays. They are also open on all statutory holidays except: Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Conveniently drop off your Goodwill donations at the Leduc and District Regional Waste Management Facility. Say goodbye to extra trips to Goodwill locations – simply bring your donations along when you visit our facility to dispose of other waste items. It’s a seamless way to support charity while managing your waste efficiently.
