For the week of April 10 through April 16, 2023, the Beaumont RCMP responded to 68 calls for service. Some of the calls for service included 911 Act, abandoned vehicle, animal calls, assistance to general public, assistance to Canadian police (non-RCMP), assistance to Canadian provincial/territorial department/agency, Child Welfare Act, dangerous driving, fail to stop or remain at accident, failure to comply with order, false alarms, fraud harassing communications, intimidation , items lost/found, Liquor Act, Mental Health Act, mischief – damage to property, mischief – obstruct enjoyment of property, moving traffic speeding, other moving traffic violations, operation while impaired, other theft under $5,000, person reported missing, suspicious person/vehicle/property, theft of car, theft of truck, theft under or equal to $5,000, traffic collisions, and wellbeing checks.

The Beaumont RCMP conducted 34 traffic stops, resulting in five violation tickets and 29 warnings issued under the Traffic Safety Act.

Beaumont RCMP got the opportunity to assist Beaumont Citizens on Patrol with the Auto Theft Awareness Program. Members were active around Beaumont handing out crime prevention notices. Beaumont RCMP would like to remind the public to:

  • never leave your keys in your vehicle;
  • lock your doors;
  • never leave garage door openers in your vehicle; and 
  • keep possessions out of view.
