City reportingRCMP Posted on: August 23, 2022 For the week of August 15 through August 21, 2022, the Beaumont RCMP responded to 90 calls for service. Some of the calls for service included 911 calls, assault, assistance to general public, breach of peace, Coroner’s Act – sudden death, disturbing the peace/causing a disturbance, drive without due care or attention, extortion without firearm, fail to stop or remain at accident scene, false alarms, items lost/found, Liquor Act, Mental Health Act, mischief – damage to property, mischief – obstruct enjoyment of property, motor vehicle insurance coverage violations, other moving, non-moving and speeding traffic violations, other theft under $5,000, roadside suspensions – alcohol related, suspicious person/vehicle/property, theft of car, theft of truck, traffic collisions, Trespass Act, uttering threats against a person, and wellbeing check.The Beaumont RCMP conducted 69 traffic stops, resulting in 10 charges and 19 warnings under the Traffic Safety Act.Beaumont RCMP participated in the Beaumont Family and Community Support Services BBQ. Members showed off the police cruiser and answered questions about policing.
