For the week of August 7, 2023 through to August 13, 2023, the Beaumont RCMP responded to 38 calls for service. Some of the calls for service included; abandoned vehicle, assistance to general public, driving without care or attention, false alarms, fraud, items lost/found, mischief – damage to property, mischief – obstruct enjoyment of property, moving traffic intersection-related, operation while impaired, other moving traffic violations, other provincial/territorial statutes, roadside suspensions, suspicious person/vehicle/property, theft of truck, traffic collisions and wellbeing check.

The Beaumont RCMP conducted 21 traffic stops, resulting in 9 violation tickets and 20 warnings issued under the Traffic Safety Act. 

Beaumont RCMP would like to remind the public to slow down in the construction zones. Road construction is a reality and it is never okay to drive recklessly in construction zones. Remember to slow down, obey the posted speed limits, pay attention to sign flaggers and listen to their commands. It is also important to avoid distracted driving and be calm and flexible while following directions from the workers and road detours.
