Posted on: June 27, 2022 For the week of June 20-26, 2022, the Beaumont RCMP responded to 58 calls for service. Some of the calls for service included animal calls, break and enter, Child Welfare Act, dangerous driving, disturbing the peace/causing a disturbance, fail to stop or remain at accident scene, fraud, harassing communications, items lost/found, mischief, other moving and non-moving traffic, other provincial statutes, suspicious person/vehicle/property, theft of vehicle, theft under or equal to $5,000 from a motor vehicle, and traffic collisions.The Beaumont RCMP conducted 32 traffic stops, resulting in two charges and two warnings under the Traffic Safety Act.The month of June brought out a lot of people to enjoy several events in person. It was nice to attend Beaumont Days and the Beaumont Blues and Roots Festival. The RCMP led the parade with the RCMP racecar on hand. We thank Gord Buck, YIELD Association president, for volunteering his time and bring the RCMP racecar. The City of Beaumont presented a monetary donation to the YIELD Association. Thank you to the City for supporting this program.The RCMP town hall on June 22 was a success, with several presentations made by RCMP units and RCMP partners. The RCMP presented crime statistics for 2021 and shared crime reduction initiatives. Thank you to all the community members in attendance.
