Here are some tips to keep in mind when you are out trick-or-treating: Wear a costume that can be easily seen at night (reflective costumes are the best). Wear makeup rather then a mask. Use a flashlight. Always walk on sidewalks. Never go into anyone’s house or vehicle. Travel in a group or with a guardian. Adults should always check the candy before any is consumed. Homeowners, please make sure your pathways are clear and well lit. Motorists, please remember to be extra cautious, as there will be many excited children out and about. Drive slowly and keep your eyes on the road. Avoid driving in areas where there is a high volume of trick-or-treaters, and never drive impaired.
