Beginning April 2, Beaumont Transit will operate with extended hours on weekdays and a new weekend service, enhancing flexibility and convenience for residents and visitors.

More weekday trips and weekend service between the Ken Nichol Regional Recreation Centre in Beaumont to the Mill Woods Transit Centre in Edmonton will benefit residents who need to get to medical visits, community gatherings, work, and other appointments outside of Beaumont. The route also connects Beaumont Transit riders with the Valley Line LRT, making destinations across the region more accessible.

“Whether you’re a post-secondary student attending classes in Edmonton, or a commuter who needs to work outside peak hours, Beaumont Transit will be able to get you there and back home,” said Mayor Bill Daneluik. “It also boosts our economy by opening up access to a larger workforce for local businesses and making shopping, dining, family, recreation, and other visits into Beaumont easier.”

The extended transit service includes:

  • Monday to Friday services with trips departing Beaumont throughout the day between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Weekend service with trips departing Beaumont between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Convenient fare payment options, including Arc cards.
