It is a mostly rural community, with most people working in Lévis as there are no major businesses in Beaumont. It was chosen as one of the top 20 nicest villages in the province of Quebec.

Beaumont is a suburb of Dublin, Ireland. The suburb was named by Olivia Whitemore and Arthur Guinness in 1764. It sits at the top of a considerable ascent from Fairview and Georgian Dublin Coastlines. The clean Air and Northside views across Georgian Dublin to Wicklow Mountains inspired the name. From 1764 Olivia Whitmore and Arthur Guinness made their new family home in Beaumont House. Beaumont House is a protected structure and can be visited today. It is also home to the Beaumont Hospital.
