City updatesMayor update/statementMedia releases Posted on: July 24, 2024 Beaumont, AB – The City of Beaumont’s newly redesigned website makes it easier for residents, businesses, and visitors to find information and access services. The site, which launched July 24, was created from the ground up with: user-focused navigation to get people where they want to go faster, enhanced search functionality to find information in fewer clicks, and language selection to support French-speaking citizens. “Beaumont residents and business leaders have been asking the City to up its game providing enhanced and new digital resources,” said Mayor Bill Daneluik. “City Council invested to create a new website that is a big step forward to provide robust tools to help residents, businesses, and visitors access City services and information.” Several new or enhanced tools using the latest technology and data were also launched with the site, including: A Business Directory with interactive mapping tools to show the wide range of businesses operating in Beaumont, An updated Capital Project Dashboard that is now mobile-friendly with improved map features and detailed information to provide residents with updates on city capital and renewal projects, A Housing Site Selector Tool that digitally enhances urban planning to support the development of affordable and multi-unit housing, and A Report a Non-Emergency tool (formerly called Service Beaumont) to help residents accurately report non-urgent matters to the City. The City will continue expanding the website to update and add more tools that enhance the ability for residents, businesses, and visitors to access services online. Visit the new website at the same URL, beaumont.ab.ca to try new and enhanced features and resources, and to access the latest news and events happening in the City. -30- For more information:Mike BerezowskyDirector of Communications780-243-0458mike.berezowsky@beaumont.ab.ca
