This program was made possible by a federal grant from the New Horizon Seniors Program.

The Intergenerational Legacy Project, which took place from September 2022 to March 2023, focused on bringing the different generations of Beaumont residents together and increasing intergenerational connections, mentoring, and overall mental well-being. Each month, our team held a fun, themed event that allowed our older and younger generations to connect on a personal level through the sharing of stories, recipes, games, music, traditions, and more.

With the conclusion of this project, these priceless experiences and connections have been compiled into the book below. Take a peek at what we’ve been up to!

With the success of this project, the Chantal Berube Youth Centre has starting “Bridging the Gap”, a workshop on Thursday evenings that continues to foster intergenerational connections within our community.

To register for this workshop, please email YouthCentre@beaumont.ab.ca or call 780-929-5155
