Mayor Statement on Dansereau Landing Development

Statement from Mayor Bill Daneluik regarding Dansereau Landing development:

“In recent weeks, Council has heard from many residents with concerns and questions about the Dansereau Landing apartment project at 6202 and 6203 65 Street. In the interests of transparency, Administration will prepare a fact sheet that addresses the concerns and questions from residents, clarify how the decision was reached, and share it with the public in the near future. 

Council recognizes that there is an opportunity to do a better job communicating about development in Beaumont. In the next month, Council will be considering changes to notification requirements in the Land Use Bylaw to improve the information provided to people about projects in their neighbourhoods. 

Thank you to the residents who have shared your concerns with Council and Administration. We appreciate your passion for the community and ask for your patience while Administration works to provide more information about the Dansereau Landing project.”
