If your consumption is higher than normal, you can expect your bill to be higher also. Questions to ask yourself are:

  • Did I do any watering outside?
  • Did I have any extra guests in my home?
  • Have I checked my plumbing fixtures for drips or leaks? (Download a guide [pdf] to help check)
  • High consumption check list for leaks:
    • Boiler
    • Dishwasher
    • Faucets
    • Hot tub
    • Hot water tank
    • Humidifier
    • New sod
    • Outside fountain
    • Outside water faucets
    • Refrigerator with ice maker
    • Shower heads
    • Sprinkling system
    • Toilets
    • Washing machine
    • Water treatment units
