The 2022 Report to the Community closes a chapter for Beaumont and recaps a year of activities by the City and Council.

Prepared each spring, the annual report provides residents with an overview of the many initiatives and projects undertaken in the past year. The 2022 report marks the end of the Our Beaumont Municipal Strategic Plan approved by Council in 2017. The Building Our Tomorrow, Today 2022-2026 Council Strategic Planapproved by Council last fall, picks up where the previous plan ended, charting a course for the community in the next four years.

“This report is an opportunity to look back and take stock of our community in the past year,” Mayor Bill Daneluik notes in the report’s introduction. “By any measure, it was a busy year and we have much to celebrate and take pride in.”

Among the many activities in 2022, City Council and Administration:

  • Celebrated the groundbreaking for construction of a high-speed fibre optic broadband network
  • Marked the grand opening of recreation facilities, including the West Recreation Site and the multi-use artificial turf field in Four Seasons Park
  • Approved start-up funding for a Community Circle Thrift Store and satellite location for the Leduc and District Food Bank
  • Introduced the popular Summer in the Park program

The 2023 Report to the Community will reflect activities and accomplishments under the Building Our Tomorrow, Today 2022-2026 Council Strategic Plan.
