From examining residents’ health care needs to launching a shop local campaign, the City of Beaumont had a busy year in 2023.

The 2023 Report to the Community provides residents with an overview of the many initiatives and projects undertaken in the past year, as well as progress on the aspirations in the Council Strategic Plan Building Our Tomorrow, Today which charts a course for the community.

“This report is an opportunity to measure progress on these aspirations in 2023 and celebrate the City’s accomplishments in the past year,” said Mayor Bill Daneluik. “Among the many achievements, we continued to support business and economic growth, worked to make sure Beaumont continues to be a safe, clean, and welcoming place, and completed or got work underway for several capital projects that enhance our community.”

Among the many activities in 2024, City Council and Administration:

  • Celebrated a significant completion milestone for construction of a high-speed fibre optic broadband network
  • Adopted a framework for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion with actions to help all residents feel a sense of belonging
  • Conducted a by-election for two vacancies on Council
  • Kicked off a comprehensive assessment of health care needs in Beaumont.

The 2023 Report to the Community is available on the City’s website.
