Environmental initiativesNeighbourhoodWaste collection Posted on: March 12, 2025 From March 24 to April 4, GFL Environmental, Beaumont’s waste services provider, will conduct a waste audit. This is part of the city’s ongoing effort to improve waste sorting, reduce contamination and meet sustainability goals. Here’s what citizens need to know: Throughout the audit period, GFL Environmental will inspect all three waste streams: grey waste carts, organic carts and blue bag recycling. If your waste containers are not collected and have a GFL sticker, it means that improper items were found within the waste stream. In this case, citizens should remove the improper items and place their container out for collection on the next scheduled pick-up day. Members of GFL’s #TeamInGreen will be visible in the community, and residents are encouraged to approach them with any questions related to proper waste sorting. This audit is the first of two planned for 2025, with another scheduled later this year. For information on how to properly sort your waste, check out our waste sorting resources.
