Posted on: March 16, 2023 “This morning we woke to news that two Edmonton Police Service officers were killed in the line of duty and our world felt a little less light. “We ask that police put themselves in harm’s way to keep our families safe. Today, that burden carried the highest toll for Constables Travis Jordan and Brett Ryan. “We mourn with our neighbours in Edmonton and with the Edmonton Police Service. There is nothing that can right this tragic wrong but perhaps our words of support can provide some comfort for the loved ones left behind. To honour their service and dedication to protecting the public, the City of Beaumont has lowered flags at our facilities to half-mast. “The members of the Beaumont RCMP and all our first responders have our support and gratitude for their service. They, too, are likely feeling the impacts of this morning’s devastating act of violence. “We are reminding our employees of the supports available for mental health and for people experiencing domestic violence.
