“As we commemorate International Women’s Day, I am honoured to extend my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the incredible women who contribute immeasurably to the fabric of our community. The theme this year is inclusion, and I want to emphasize the importance of inclusion in every aspect of our city.

Women have played and continue to play an indispensable role in shaping the character, resilience, and vibrancy of our city. As leaders, volunteers, and participants in business, arts, culture, sports, education, families, and other aspects of our community, their efforts, strength, and wisdom have a profound impact on Beaumont’s well-being and prosperity.

I also want to take a moment to express my admiration and appreciation for the extraordinary women serving alongside me on our City Council. Kathy Barnhart and Catherine McCook are dedicated servants of the public whose perspectives contribute greatly to the decisions we make for the betterment of our community.

Let’s recognize and support the aspirations of women – both in Beaumont and around the world. Together, we can foster an environment where every woman feels empowered to pursue her dreams, contribute her unique talents, and make a lasting difference.

To the women of Beaumont, thank you for your invaluable contributions. Your strength inspires us, your achievements uplift us, and your presence enriches our community. Happy International Women’s Day!”
