“As we kick off Pride Month, on behalf of Council, I want to express our full support to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community here in Beaumont. Pride Month is a significant time as we come together to celebrate the diversity, strength, and contributions of our 2SLGBTQIA+ residents.

While Pride Month is a celebration, it also highlights the ongoing struggle for equality and acceptance faced by members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. It reminds us of the progress we’ve made and the challenges that remain. It underscores the importance of creating an inclusive environment where everyone can live authentically without fear of discrimination or prejudice.

In Beaumont, we take pride in our diversity and inclusivity. We value the unique perspectives, talents, and voices of our 2SLGBTQIA+ community members who play a vital role in shaping our city. We stand together with our 2SLGBTQIA+ friends, neighbours, and colleagues, and we are committed to ensuring that Beaumont remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone.

During Pride Month and beyond, let’s come together and continue to build a community where everyone is accepted and celebrated for who they are and who they love. Happy Pride Month!”
