The City of Beaumont is teaming up with local businesses to showcase the community and offer special discounts to visitors attending the Grand Slam of Curling’s Co-op Canadian Open from November 5 to 10.

Beaumont has more than 50 eateries and shops – from family restaurants and high-end dining to artisan boutiques and relaxing spas – and is minutes away from the curling action at the Silent Ice Centre in Nisku.

Competitors and people attending the Co-op Canadian Open can access special offers by showing proof of attendance or their player identification to take advantage of great deals, including discounts at local restaurants and salons. An updated list of special offers with a map to locations is available on Google Maps. Businesses in Beaumont can submit an offer for the map by filling out this form.

“Beaumont offers big-city convenience with small-community charm with a family-friendly atmosphere just a stone’s throw away from the Silent Ice Centre,” said Mayor Bill Daneluik. “We invite curling fans and players alike to experience our warm hospitality in between draws and after the action each day.”

People attending the event can also find a searchable business directory and map of all businesses in Beaumont online.
