The City is working with wildlife professionals to safely identify and relocate urban coyotes near St. Vital Church on 50 Street. For everyone’s safety, we kindly ask residents to avoid the area on May 30 from the early morning to the afternoon.

A trained service dog will be used to locate the coyote dens. The dog will sniff out the den, draw out the coyotes, and handlers will use non-lethal methods to facilitate their relocation. The dog will also “mark” the den to deter future coyote activity.

Once completed, our teams will continue to monitor the area to ensure the effectiveness of the relocation efforts and to address any further concerns or issues that may arise.
