Posted on: September 5, 2023 For the week of August 28, 2023 through September 3, 2023 the Beaumont RCMP responded to 62 calls for service. Some of the calls for service included; 911 Act – offences only, 911 Act – other activities, assault, assault with weapon, assistance to general public, assistance to Canadian police (non-RCMP), assistance to Canadian provincial/territorial department/agency, break and enter, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, driving without due care or attention, extortion without firearm, fail to stop or remain at accident scene, fail to comply with undertaking, false alarms, information file, items lost/found, Liquor Act, Mental Health Act, mischief – damage to property, mischief – obstruct enjoyment of property, moving traffic – intersection related, moving traffic – speeding violation, municipal bylaws, operation while impaired, other moving traffic violations, other provincial/territorial statutes, other theft under $5000, person reported missing, sexual assault, suspicious person/vehicle/property, theft of truck, theft under or equal to $5000 from motor vehicle and traffic collisions. The Beaumont RCMP conducted 15 traffic stops, resulting in 5 violation tickets and 10 warnings issued under the Traffic Safety Act. On Saturday September 9, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Beaumont Citizens on Patrol and Beaumont RCMP will be in the Beaumont Home Hardware parking lot installing locking licence plate screws. On Tuesday September 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Beaumont RCMP will be at the Beaumont Library giving a short presentation on Elder Abuse. Police will be there to answer all questions to elders on how to protect yourself from being a victim of elder abuse. Beaumont RCMP would like to remind citizens to lock up their property including their vehicles, garages and sheds.
