Frequently asked questions

Do I still need to pay my bill if I do not receive my bill in the mail?

Yes, customers are still required to pay their bills during this time. There are several ways to access your account balance and make a payment including online or by calling our utilities team.

What happens if I don’t pay my bill on time?

If utilities are not paid on time, a 2.6% late fee is applied the next business day after the due date identified on the utility bill. After 90 days of an overdue account, the owner will receive a letter notifying them that the outstanding balance (plus a $30 fee) will be added to their property tax bill.

When will my next bill arrive?

As Canada Post resumes services on December 17, mail delivery may still be delayed as services resume and the backlog is cleared. A November bill may arrive in December, please note that the balance on the account was due on the date indicated in the notice. Customers who have not paid their November account balance will incur a 2.6% late fee.

The next utility bill will be mailed in mid-January 2025, however, Canada Post may still be experiencing delays as it clears a backlog of mail in its network. Customers who want to avoid delays can sign up to receive their bill by email.
