The Arts Grants Program is one of four funding streams within the Beaumont Municipal Grant Funding Program. Arts Grants support initiatives that have as their primary focus the support for, the promotion of, and/or the advancement of the arts for Beaumont. This includes arts events, festivals, programming, initiatives, and projects, as well as operating expenses of arts.

Who can apply:

  • Community non-for-profit organizations registered under the Societies Act, Libraries Act or Agriculture Societies Act.
  • Community First Nation and Métis organizations and associations.
  • Foundations under Alberta’s Regional Health Authorities Act.
  • Universities, colleges and institutes under Alberta’s Post-Secondary Learning Act.
  • Individual artists (must be a resident of Beaumont)
  • Ad hoc groups of artists and artist collectives (must identify a primary applicant who meets all requirements as listed for individual artists)

 

Key details:

  • Two intakes per year (April 1 and October 1).
  • Request up to 100% of eligible expenses up to $20,000 (organizations/collectives) or up to $10,000 (individuals) (note: where possible, applicant contributions are strongly encouraged).
  • Funding is available for operating expenses, capital projects, and one-time or recurring programs, initiatives, and events.
  • This program is competitive, and eligibility does not guarantee funding.
  • Funding may be approved in part or in full. Approved funding is a one-time commitment and projects must be completed within 12 months.
