Make the most of these summer camp programs!

  • For your child’s best experience, they must be fully toilet trained. Parents will be contacted by phone to attend to any changing needs.
  • Parents/ guardians are required to sign children in and out each day.
  • We request that lunches and snacks do not include peanut butter or nuts of any kind.
  • All classes begin and end at the times listed; our doors will open at the start time of each camp, and we will ensure programs end at the proper time as well. If there is before and after camp club, the doors will open at that specified time.
  • A parent will be contacted if they are later than 10 minutes after the program end time.
  • Art and craft sessions may get messy, please ensure your child is dressed in craft friendly clothing.
  • Please send your child to camp with: sunscreen, bug spray, a hat and a water bottle.
  • Clearly label you child’s belongings.
  • All electronic games and devices should be left at home.
  • If your child has an allergy, please ensure their epi pen is sent to camp with them; all of our staff is trained in first aid.
  • If your child is asthmatic, please ensure their inhaler is sent to camp with them.
  • Summer Programs Staff cannot administer medication; please ensure child is capable of administering their own medication if needed.
  • Any additional information will be supplied by Summer Programs Staff.

What your child needs each day!

  • For half day camps please send a nut free light snack for your child each day. Full day camps require two nut free snacks and a lunch for your child.
  • Please send a water bottle for each child every day.
  • Please dress your child for indoor and outdoor activities and send sunscreen and bug repellent.
  • Parents will need to complete all applicable forms.
  • If your child has an aide or support at school, we expect them to attend camps with an aide.

Preschool half-day camps

Great for your kiddos aged 3-5, they will have plenty of new experiences, including time for stories, crafts, songs, games, and socialization. They will explore different themes and participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor play opportunities guided by our qualified Childmind leaders. These camps will help your child build confidence, independence, communication skills, and spark imagination!

Creativity, inspiration, and fun meet during this week filled with crafts. We’ll try sculpting, water colour, and painting a variety of materials and canvas. Campers will bring home many projects!

Sportball Half Day Camps

Sportball is a non-competitive program that promotes confidence, self-esteem and team work for kids ages 3-5 years old. If your goal is to keep your child moving through the summer, you’re in luck! These camps have you covered. Coached with purpose, using Sportball methodology, children have a blast while developing their skills for life.

Do you have what it takes to save summer? Only the very best heroes are allowed to come to Sportball Tower and I think your camper will be the perfect fit. With our super coaches, your kiddos will develop incredible physical skill through challenging games and sporting events designed to test their might. Strap on your hard hat! Taking on adventures as big as the rigs the kiddos love to play with, this summer your camper will get to step into the shoes of some brave operators, from police on the roads to pilots in the sky. Your kiddo will learn about some of these amazing roles while taking on scaled down adventures that make them feel like they can keep up with the best of them. Each day they’ll wear the hat of a different operator, hearing stories, playing games, creating crafts and even taking on sports all themed and focused around the day’s Mighty Machine!

Come join us this summer as we hang out with some of the most entertaining pups out there! Campers will become an honorary member of the Puppy Patrol, helping them keep Adventure Bay amazing. Full Day Camps

Perfect for kids aged 6-11 years old! In these camps, we take our themes seriously! Games, stories, crafts, and activities will revolve around the weekly theme. We bring in special guests, go to the rec centre, spend time in the park, and above all, have fun! Your kiddo will meet new friends, try new activities, learn new things, and did we mention, have FUN!

Details:

  • Camps run from 9 am – 3:30 pm, with a 30 minute window before and after for drop off and pick up.
  • Held at the Beaumont Community Centre (5204 – 50 Avenue) and Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre (5001 Rue Eaglemont). Please check where your specific camp is located.
  • Weather permitting, kids will spend time outside each day. Before going outside, weather conditions and air quality are taken into consideration.
  • Each camp emphasizes different features. Please consider this when deciding which camps are the best fit for your kiddo!

Welcome to the amazing world of gaming! This is a camp made for kids who love to play games of all types and who love to have fun!

Each day will be a blend of different activities. We combine group video games, board/card games (both retro and new), group challenges, live action role playing (LARPING), and even nerf gun wars! We of course will get some physical activity in every day through fun group games that all kids can play and have fun with. There will be trivia, intriguing debates, and we will study some of the best gamers of all time.

Welcome to a fun-filled and magical chemistry camp where children learn a variety of ahhh-mazing explorations of our fizz-ical world!

Try your hands as a real Mad Scientist in this whirlwind camp packed solid with cool reactions. Explore bubbling potions, slimy polymers, color-changing liquids, bubbles, and solids that disappear in an instant! Build and break molecules and learn how to test for acids & bases. Ooze into a gooey day of making crazy concoctions! Round out this radical week by manipulating matter in all of its three states!

The City of Beaumont is excited to host a 4-day “Rookie Rugby” program in partnership with Alberta Junior Rugby. This skill builder rugby program is for children ages 8-13 years old (participants will be divided into smaller groups within the camp based on age). This camp is open to all skills and knowledge of rugby! So whether you have played before or not, there is a spot for you to spend the morning with us!

Rugby Alberta and Rookie Rugby are thrilled to present a safe, fun, and exciting introduction to rugby for youth of all ages. Rookie Rugby is a noncontact game-based introduction to the sport, with an emphasis on fun!

These programs are for children ages 7-14 years old, and are open to all skills and knowledge levels! So whether you have played before or not, there is a spot for you to spend the morning with us!

Mornings are packed with structured activities. We spend one hour working on fundamentals through a bunch of games and drills, one hour working on skills and drills, and one hour competing in games. We will teach skills and work with players to transfer these skills into gameplay. It will be a combination of drills, practicing game situations and scrimmaging. We will be playing a lot of 3 on 3 this week.

      • The week will be filled with drills and instructions that develop our players base skills, mixed with games and scenarios that help them gain confidence in their volleyball abilities. We also work hard to build into our campers lives both on and off the courts to come along side parents in raising awesome kids. Our goal is to make sure every camper has an amazing week and leaves feeling excited about who they are and playing the game of volleyball.

      • This camp focuses on furthering our athlete’s skills and knowledge of the game of volleyball while still fueling their love for the game. We will work hard to make sure their form is correct, that they know what drills to do to accelerate their growth and give them the confidence to perform well on their teams. We will also work to develop their leadership skills and encourage good life habits. We are excited to spend a week building and growing our athletes both on and off the court.

Join us for a week of camp with a gymnastics twist! We are excited to offer this half day camp for your young tumbler, to learn gymnastics FUNdamentals with our NCCP Certified Coaches, while having fun, meeting new friends, and trying new activities. Kids have a great time, and parents know that their child’s physical literacy is developing.
