Recreation Inclusion Subsidy

Our objective: give citizens of Beaumont equal access to opportunities and/or programs available to them in the areas of recreation and culture to enhance their quality of life. Beaumont may provide a recreation financial subsidy towards City-run Recreation and Culture program fees for individuals and families who demonstrate an inability to pay for programs that would contribute to their personal growth and community involvement.

New applications are accepted starting January 1.

Subsidy options

  • General application: $150 per person, per calendar year
  • Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) application: free access to applicable programs and services

All applicants

  • Open to residents of Beaumont
  • Applicant must fill out the application form
  • Funds must be used by December 31 in the calendar year in which they were received
  • Applicant must apply annually
  • Funds are on a first come first served basis, depending on the allocated yearly budget
  • The decision of the City of Beaumont is final

Family membership loan program

Beaumont families can borrow a Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre (BSRC) membership from Bibliothèque de Beaumont Library. The initiative is part of the City’s commitment to making recreational facilities accessible for all Beaumont families.

Program details

BSRC memberships:

  • are available for one week at a time
  • include two adults plus children (17 and under) in the family.
  • give families access to all the benefits of a Family Plus Membership at the BSRC, including:
    • drop-in fitness classes,
    • the swimming pool,
    • drop-in sports and
    • the fitness centre.

You’ll need a current library card (free at the Bibliothèque de Beaumont Library) to access the program. Library staff are available seven days a week to help community members with this request or other information or technology needs.
