About FCSS

Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is a unique 80/20 funding partnership between the province, municipalities and Metis Settlements that develops local driven preventive social initiatives to enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and communities. Provincially, the FCSS Program receives its mandate for the FCSS Act and Regulations pursuant to that act.

FCSS provides individual and group services to strengthen the individual, the family and the community. Beaumont FCSS builds capacity with individuals, families and the community, through a respectful, coordinated and collaborative approach.

Information & referrals

FCSS provides information regarding social and emotional supports that are available to residents of Beaumont.

Youth programs & support

Beaumont FCSS provides various youth programs through schools, the Chantal Berube Youth Center, workshops, Asset Building events, counselling and referrals.

Children/family programs & support

Beaumont FCSS is pleased to provide various community supported children and family programs through schools, workshops, events and referrals.

Seniors services

Support is available to assist seniors with filling out government forms, and gaining access to community resources. Services are available to support seniors with regular household tasks such as light housekeeping.

Individual & community supports

FCSS provides support to residents through the Volunteer Income Tax Program, referrals for Christmas Elves, and subsidized counselling.

Family violence prevention & awareness

FCSS works with community stakeholders to build understanding about healthy relationships and strategies to prevent family violence as well as a Family Support and Intervention Program.
